Mwenya Chipepo Appointed New ZESCO United Head Coach

ZESCO United Football Club has officially appointed Mwenya Chipepo as the club’s new Head Coach as the Ndola giants begin preparations for the upcoming campaign.

Chipepo, who holds a CAF A Licence, brings extensive experience in Zambian top-flight football, having previously coached Power Dynamos, Prison Leopards, Indeni, Forest Rangers and Nkana FC.

His biggest achievement came with Power Dynamos, where he guided the club to the FAZ Super League title and gained continental experience in the CAF Champions League. His track record of improving teams and delivering results has earned him the opportunity to take charge of ZESCO United.

Chipepo will be assisted by former ZESCO United coach Tenant Chembo, who returns to the club as First Assistant Coach.

Chembo has enjoyed a long coaching career with clubs including ZESCO United, Mufulira Wanderers, Lumwana Radiants, Forest Rangers, Indeni and Ndola United. During his previous spell at ZESCO United, he was part of the technical setup that won the 2016 Barclays Cup, now known as the ABSA Cup, and the 2017 FAZ Super League title.

He also brings CAF Champions League experience and an in-depth understanding of ZESCO United and Zambian football.
